Women Ministry Department

About the Women’s Ministry Department

The Women’s Ministry Department address the spiritual, emotional, physical, and social needs of women in the church and the community. All women 18 years and over are automatically catered for in this Department.

We exist to uphold, encourage and challenge women in their pilgrimage as disciples of Jesus Christ and members of His church. As women, we are called to NURTURE our sisters, to EMPOWER them for service and then to focus all that we have learned on OUTREACH to others.

For the next 2 years, the Department’s main focus will be on the nurture and spiritual growth of women. We will therefore aim to provide programmes and opportunities which support women on their personal development journey, whilst encouraging them to draw closer to God and to give them opportunities to lead and serve using their knowledge, skills, gifts and talent.

Events / Activities

Women Ministry Night – Women’s Ministry Department hosts meetings with the women of the church (known as Women’s Ministry Night). This is when we invite all the women (18 and over) to a meeting usually focused on the business of the department or to provide fellowship and fun.

This is where the Leadership team provide an update and get feedback and suggestions on activities so the women have a forum in which to be involved with shaping what the Department does. Do look out for the next one. The aim is to have at least 2 of these activities each year. (The first one was held in February 2022). Continue to watch this space for the next meeting.

The Best You Can Be – Nurture Series (February 18th – May 6th 2022 This is a series geared toward personal growth and spiritual development. It was held weekly every Friday at 7:00 pm on Zoom for over 12 weeks. The sessions are very interactive and attendees share, learn and grow together over the series.
