Why We Give
Giving is a principle that is taught throughout the entire Bible. Members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church are encouraged to return a faithful tithe (10% of their income) and to give regular offerings.
We don’t give because God needs our money, and we don’t give because the church needs our money. We give because God asked us to. God knows that your loyalty is found where your money is (Matthew 6:19-21) and because God wants to be first in our lives, he asks us to trust Him with our money.
When we give, we are expressing worship in a tangible way by putting God first in our lives.
