Services for the local community
Our church’s mission is to confront the community with the gospel of Jesus Christ. One of the ways we do this is via our community services department. Its main aim is to demonstrate Christian love by helping our local community. We do this in a number of ways, including the following initiatives.
We operate a free confidential conselling service run by qualified professionals. For more information please visit www.brixtoncommunitycounselling.org
Feeding the Less Fortunate
A little thing can make a big difference. We are all children of God and when our resources dry up life can seem hopeless. For a number of years now, Brixton SDA Church has been providing hope for our homeless and less fortunate neighbors.
Funded by donations and run by volunteers, every Thursday evening we serve a hot, homemade dinner, together with live music, and a simple message of love and acceptance to our guests that show up each week.
We also provide clothing, food and other supplies to the homeless, disadvantaged and the elderly in the community and arrange visits for the housebound or infirm.
We organise an Annual Dinner for the senior citizens in the church and community and also raise funds for various overseas missions.
Main Worship Services
Sabbath School is a weekly service that takes place every Saturday morning from 9.15 – 10.45. Sabbath School focuses on fellowship development, community outreach, Bible study, and foreign mission.
